Answers to frequently asked questions

Nice to know

We have already answered some general questions so that you do not have to wait for us. If your question is not answered here, please fill in the contact form or give us a call.

  • Do we accept pets?
It is no problem if you bring your pet. Dogs are happy on a leash at the campsite and if the dog does his needs by accident at the campsite make sure you have something to clean it up.

  • Are there facilities for the disabled?
There is a separate shower and toilet room that is intended for you. The bar and reception are also accessible and the terrain is flat everywhere. However, not all paths are paved.

  • How many months do we recommend booking a windshield?
In the reservation system you can see exactly how many places are still available. Reservations are not required in the preseason, we recommend it for the high season but it is not mandatory.

  • Do we offer long-stay packages?
We do not have a special rate for long-term camping. If you would like to stay a little longer, we recommend that you contact us and make your wishes known.

We will respond as soon as possible

How can you reach us

Directions

You can come to the campsite in different ways. Because the Medoc where the campsite is located is a kind of peninsula, you can only reach the campsite without a ferry from the south via Bordeaux. From the north you can cross the Gironde estuary at Royan with the ferry to Verdon. And from the east side you can catch the Blaye ferry to Lamarque. On the website www.transgironde.fr you can find the departure times of the bus, train and ferry.

  • By plane: There are flights to Bordeaux Merignac Airport from various destinations. At the airport you can rent a car or take the tram to the train station. You can then follow the description below for the train.

  • By train: From Bordeaux a train goes to Lesparre and from there you can take the bus to Vendays-Montalivet.

  • By bus: From Bordeaux a bus goes to Lesparre and from there another bus goes to Vendays-Montalivet. If you get off at the church in Vendays it is a one kilometer walk to the campsite. If you have a lot of luggage and call us, we can of course pick you up.

  • By car: The best route if you come by car from the north is via Saintes to Royan and there by ferry to Verdon. From Verdon you drive on the D1215 in the direction of Lesparre. After 30 km you take the exit to Vendays-Montalivet. In Vendays at the roundabout take the 2nd exit towards Hourtin. After 1 km you turn right at the large camping sign.

From the south you can take exit 8 towards Verdon sur Mer on the Bordeaux ring road. After Lesparre you take the exit to Vendays-Montalivet. In Vendays at the roundabout take the 2nd exit towards Hourtin. After 1 km you turn right at the large camping sign.
